Upcoming Girl’s Luncheon Schedule 2024 I know at our Girl’s Luncheons, we are often enjoying ourselves so much that figuring out where we are going to meet next, can be a challenge. Since we rotate between several restaurants, I’ve looked at last year’s schedule and have come up with one for the remainder […]
A question raised recently on our Everett Class of 1970 – Lansing Facebook page, has prompted me to continue on my quest to find an answer before I leave this earth. On a fairly frequent basis, I get the question “How many were in our graduating class?” Another question I get is “How many […]
Reaching out to our Everett Class of 1970. I was reminded recently, 2025 will be our 55th Reunion. Doesn’t seem possible. The Reunion Committee is soliciting your feedback to assist with our planning process. Our 50+1 reunion had 112 participants (including guests) so planning is critical. If you could provide us with us with your […]
In 1999, I started becoming involved with the reunion committee. There have been 6-10 classmates assisting me since this time. A BIG THANKS for their continued support. We are always looking for any fresh ideas on how we can keep the reunions so enjoyable. At our event in 2010, attendees expressed an interest in […]
This is a rather lengthy listing of classmates that I do not have a current email address for. When you look at the photos taken at reunion events (even recently), they may have attended but their emails are bouncing back because they are no longer valid. Please feel free to forward this website on to […]
Wandering Down Memory Lane……. A number of classmates have asked me if our Senior Photos are in a central location. Many have misplaced their yearbooks over the years or may not have purchased one. I offer my extreme gratitude to Dave Brigham who offered to scan all the senior photos from his yearbook. I have […]
In addition to Dave Brigham scanning our senior photos, he also scanned the photo pages of our senior yearbook. Nice touch Dave!
On many occasions, I’ve been asked if there exists a list of our fellow classmates who are deceased. The following names have been gathered not only from obituaries posted in the Lansing State Journal, but also from other classmates. I’m sure there are more, as many of our classmates have moved from the Lansing area. […]
Following the recent death of a teacher that had a big impact on me during my high school years, I decided to add another section to the Everett Class of 1970 part of my website. Teachers have a huge impact on our lives. Sometimes, it is not until much later in our lives or until […]
As classmates reminiscence, we remember fondly our teachers who influenced our lives. Among those found: Mr. Eric Pierson [July 2015] I enjoyed having Mr. Pierson for Physics Class. Another interest we shared, and he furthered my development in, was darkroom photography methods. I have him to thank for his time during many lunch hours […]
Our teachers at Everett High School played a significant role in shaping our lives. I believe each one of us had a favorite (or two or three). Again, thanks to Dave Brigham for providing the images from our yearbook for sharing with our classmates.
To be more environmentally friendly, and to keep our reunion costs down (we previously had classmate update information printed into booklets), I’ve added this new section Classmate Updates. I’d like to encourage classmates to email me a paragraph you wish to share (there’s an email link envelope at the bottom of this page), updating […]

Our 11th Everett Informal Reunion was held September 14th at Corey’s. Attendance this year was a bit smaller, approximately 28 (including spouses). Our 10th Everett Informal Reunion was held September 8th at Corey’s. Attendance this year was approximately 40 (including spouses). Our 9th Everett Informal Reunion was held September 9th. Attendance this year was approximately 45 which is pretty normal considering our big 50 + 1 was last year. We love it when the weather cooperates. As always, lots of laughs, and ‘remember when’ made for an enjoyable evening.
What a great 50 + 1 reunion weekend we had (September 24-25)! The weather even cooperated. Our ‘informal’ at Coreys was a huge success, thanks to Bill Corey. Bill, our server Lilly was incredible. Our Saturday morning tour at Everett was very enlightening. I heard comments that our days there seemed like the Dark Ages […]
Our Informal Reunion was held October 19th at Corey’s Lounge. Attendancewise, the Reunion Committee was not sure what to expect. With the 50th next year, we thought there might be less this year. The attendance was great! We had 35 classmates along with 8 non classmates who came (from as far away as California and […]
The 2018 Informal Reunion was held at Coreys on September 15th. The attendance at these “Informals” is typically less but the 28 classmates (and 3 spouses) who attended were having an enjoyable evening. Apologies to Linda Harkness, Martha Foster McDowell, Sherry Hayes Wellman and Penny Beachnau Illemszky who I happened to miss while taking […]

Starfyshʼs singular mission is to bring holistic, sustainable transformation to an island of […]

Informal reunion event at Corey’s Lounge Lansing, Michigan.
At the class reunion in 2010, many classmates suggested we have ‘informal’ reunions every year instead of every five years. This informal gathering was at Corey’s Lounge in Lansing, Michigan. The suggestion was great! Keeps us closer in touch.
This event was held at Prairie Creek Banquet Center in Dewitt, Michigan.

It occurred to me, that because our class was so large, other classmates may have personal websites. If you wish to share your site, I can consider posting it. I think this might be a good way to network our talents and services. You can email me through the envelope at the bottom of […]
Retrieving Lansing (MI) Everett High School’s Vietnam War by John Christopher Zielinski Everett Social Studies Teacher INTRODUCTION Lansing Everett High School has a powerful tradition of service and sacrifice supporting the United States of America. Since the Second World War countless numbers of Everett individuals have served in the military, while many of them have […]
Everett Teacher John Zielinski recently made an exciting find. He came across a large number of photos of Everett Alumni who had served in WWII. Apparently, it was common for those serving to send their military photo back to their high school. To honor those that have served, I will be scanning the photos […]
